The happy relationship of two gentle people.

The final realization of a 5 dome tour and the popularity of Arashi.  From last year's commotion of「来てる、来てる」("Here it is, Here it is") and the lack of realization of such a popularity for the members of Arashi.  In this year's high profile, for a group of high popularity do you feel (everyday) such a reality of being 「モテ」(popular amongst the opposite sex)?

Nino: Because i think that if we keep saying we're "so popular ne" it would become true that i kept saying it (laugh).「大人気だね」って自分で言っておけば、そう見えるかなと思って、僕は言うようにしてますね(笑)。But to add the "Big" (kanji) in front of the 'dome' is very cool na, Arashi (laugh).. でも、「5大ドーム」って、自分たちで "大" をつけちゃうのがカッコいいよな、嵐(笑)

Aiba: That's right! having a big concert venue is indeed a thing to be happy about yo ne.. そうだね! コンセート会場が大きくなっていくのは、確かにうれしいよね。but really (i) do not truly understand if this is the meaning of being「モテてる」.. ただ、それが「モテてる」ってことなのかは正直わかんない。what does it mean? そもそも「モテる」って何? something like "suki, suki, please go out with me"?「好き、好き。付き合って!」って言われること?

Nino: for me it's like '「モテる」= for someone you like to like you'.. 俺のなかでは、"モテる=自分が好きな人に好かれること"だな。to have anyone (and anyone) to like you is to be popular deshou.. 誰からも好かれるのは"人気がある"でしょ。

Aiba: would you work hard for the sake of being 「モテる」? .. モテるために努力はするんですか?

Nino: no.. i dont have to do anything to be モテ (laugh) しないよ、俺、何もしなくてもモテちゃうから(笑)。Aiba kun is a very popular person.. 相葉くんは人気者です。but most of the people i know would generally say that (Aiba kun) is 'fun' and wouldnt say he is 'cool' (laugh)  彼のことを僕の知り合いはだいたい「おもしろいよね」って言うけど、「カッコいいよね」とは言わない(笑)。

Aiba: for some reason that is somewhat (a) uncomfortable (thing).. 困るね、なんでだろうねぇ。

Nino: (probably because Aiba chan) is easy to talk to ne.. しゃべりやすいんでしょうね。also Aiba kun is (a) very gentle (person) あと相葉くんは優しい。(he) loves his family a lot.. it is very American (the sense of feelings he has towards his family being much like what Americans are generally portrayed for).. though he is from Chiba 家族が大好き、っていうアメリカ気質を持ってますから、千葉人なのに。

Aiba: I love my family the most. 家族大好きなんです、俺。

Nino: see.. wasnt that just like a Americanized kind of talk (laugh) ね、アメリカ人っぽいでしょ、いまの発言(笑)。a man without rebel.. and this is not only reserved for women.. for even the most general things he treats them gently ne (very thoughtful).. 反抗期がなかった男ですから、女性に対してだけではなく、ただ普通にいることがもうすでに優しいんですね。for people that he has met for the first time and or guests who have come to our shows.. 初対面の人や番組のゲストの方に、he'd want them to have enjoyed the experience so that he'd give it his all to make it a enjoyable atmosphere「楽しかった」って言ってもらえるようにその場を最大限におもしろくしようとする気持ちがある。

Aiba: Nino is also very gentle yo.. ニノも優しいよ。(i think) it is him being gentle to diss you when you need to be dissed.. ツッコんでほしいときにツッコんでくれるの彼の優しさだと思う。even though we play (hang out) together quite often.. よく一緒に遊ぶんですけど、but it's usually me being very overbearing でも俺、いっつも誘い方は強引。though i ask him "want to come tomorrow?" it's usually mostly be force..「明日、行く?」って聞くけど、半強制なの。

Nino: (his) intonation is mostly "come tomorrow!" (as though it's already decided) ne.. イントネーションは「明日行く!」って断定なんだよね。

Aiba: eh hehehehe.. (laugh) えへへへ(笑)。

Nino: we dont usually give too much attention to the little details ne..あんまり気も遣わないですよね。because we know each other so well already.. それに、お互いのこともよくわかってる。like when i say 'lend that to me'.. 俺が「アレ貸して」って言ったら、Aiba kun can hand 'that thing' to me without questions.. 相葉くんは俺考えているものを出してくれるだろうし。in reverse.. i can do this for him as well.. 逆に、俺もそうできるだろうな。

Aiba: because (we have) been together for 11 years ne.. 11年一緒にいるからね。we can become very good managers for each other (laugh).. お互い、相当いいマネージャーになれますよ(笑)。"do you want to take down the world with such a partner in crime (as two people who have so intertwined with fate)?" 「そんな絆で結ばれた仲間たちと一緒に天下を盜りたいか」って? if (we) get too obsessed with winning and losing.. the more we'd be lost at what we are doing.. 勝ち負けに執着すると、わけわかんなくなる気がする。(we) will still work hard with all that we have from today onwards yo.. これからもできるかぎりの精いっぱいでぶつかっていったらいいんですよ! to be モテる or not.. it cool to not give a care about it at all.. that is the conclusion for today.. モテるもてないも、気にしないのがカッコいい。それが今日の結論。

ah.. this interview was soooooo good that i had to do it ^_____^ alas i hope you all enjoy it as much as i did.. just.. awwww i particularly liked the part where Nino was explaining why he thought Aiba kun is fun instead of being cool.. haha i guess it takes a real grownup to appreciate someone who is fun rather than someone who is cool.. 8D old as i am.. i am enjoying it alright.. lols. and that part where Aiba chan 'forces' Nino to go out.. ROFL hahahaha.. poor boy wants to play online games though XDDD

i guess it's not easy to see a interview w/ just the two of them normally (YT doesnt count).. but i'm completely open to stuff like this.. haha 8D shows a different side nya when there are only 2.. anyhows.. i'm tired and i want to watch Shukudai again XDDD ah. and i tried hard alright. w/ help mind you.. lols so if you think there are anything wrong with it. then go ahead and leave a comment alright.. i'm quite open to changes.. 8D
