project Bambi 2008.
ah ^___^ some of you all may already know i was doing this.. but for the most part i think it was more of a personal project.. i had thought about uchiwas.. but really.. REALLY.. unless i'm standing in like the first 2 rows.. i really dont feel the point HAHAHA anyhows..

project Bambi 2008..
1. i had first done a design on photoshop.. this is mainly to play with colors and have the general feel for the finished product.. i had also flipped the image so that it would be right side up when i'm using it later (did black and white too to be printer friendly)
2. after getting the cap.. i measured the estimated area i would be using and calculated as to what size rhinestones would be better for the design.. the usual sizes are 2.5mm, 2.8mm, 3.8mm etc.. i used 2.8mm this time.. (for my ipod i had used 2.5mm) the basic idea is to measure the length & width and divide with 2.8 then count how many rhinestones i need.. as i'm needing various colors. i had to count how many of each i would need to complete the design
3. because the cap is obviously fabric.. i had to get the special kind of rhinestones used for fabric that has adhesive on the back already and you heat it for it to stick.. once i had the cap.. the rhinestones.. AND my trustworthy tweezer.. XD i was almost ready to go.. lols. i also had to get one of those sticky sheets where you stick the rhinestones on backwards to your design so it's easier to stick it on the cap later without messing up the design..
4. then it's pretty much just time & patience.. i used a ruler to help.. but afterall.. it's handmade so it's not perfect.. 8D shrugs.. hahahaha.. it's the effort that counts XD
5. ta-da! this is what it looks like after i finished w/ the design.. X3 bling bling!

yeahhhhh.. so that was about a good 7 hours of my life w/o the calculating and running around for rhinestones and design.. 8D i had wanted a easier design cause i knew i'd be too tired to deal with a elaborated design anyways XD will be applying the design to the cap later tonight ^____^ and then hopefully it'll turn out good.. (it looks better w/ a dark background i swear XD) i have some rhinestones left still.. so will also be thinking about some smaller stuff i can make with them.. still debating as to what to make though.. heh..
i dont mind posting stuff like this.. but i would mind if you take my idea and make something like exactly like it ok.. ="= cause i didnt do this to teach ppl how to be copycats.. i did it to share some loving alright.. link back if you want to share.. dont re-post. thanks.

uwaaaaaaa..looks nice ne!!!
i've tried doing the rhinestone stuff with my cell but ..
i have OCD so i got major trouble making a design><''
but looking at the bambi blingbling!!
maybe i'll try again xD
that was really creative, I used to do those rhinestones with my mobile phone, nevertheless i got tired of it... so it's a refreshing idea to put those stones in a fabric.. nevertheless a cap.. it's sooo sparkly sho~
you painstakingly arranging the rhinestones backwards reminds me of Turkey tiled table makers. afdsagfdsjgckh tracey
so how you stick the rhinestone to the fabric/cap. just using good old jumbo glue? i always wanted to stick blings on my Ts but couldn't find where they sell those stick on rhinestones.
nyahahaha.. tile makers XD
no neh. there are special kind of rhinestones with the adhesive already on the back of the rhinestones. you just apply heat then it can be stuck to fabric ^^ normal glue will dissolve when you wash it ..
How do you transfer that to the cap? Won't the rhinestones get all unaligned? I really can't imagine the steps to actually pasting on the cap other than the design is there.
